Oregon permit practice

Learn the rules, understand your mistakes and build confidence with Oregon Test 1.

Prepare for the Oregon knowledge test

Oregon’s Class C manual covers signs, lane travel, intersections, sharing the road, parking and safe driving. Read the complete online edition, including its later safety chapters, and use the DMV testing section for official knowledge-test arrangements.

This set covers signs and lane markings, right-of-way, speed and stopping, parking, turns, freeway driving, pedestrians and cyclists, impairment, emergencies and safe driving. It is a starting point, not complete coverage of the manual.

Rules worth revisiting

Review Oregon’s unposted speed limits, restrictions on U-turns, advance signaling and the difference between painted and physical medians at school-bus stops.

Choose how you practice

Practice Mode

Work without a timer. Selecting an answer shows the explanation and official source immediately. You can revise answers while learning; the final selections determine your result.

Timed Test Mode

Use a 40-minute session with explanations held until submission or timeout. Navigate between questions, flag items and track your progress. The timer continues if you leave or reload.

40 questions and 40 minutes are PrepTestLab practice settings. This is not a reproduction of the official examination or its time allowance.

Use your result to plan what to study

The practice target is 80% — 32 of 40 correct. Unanswered questions count as incorrect. This aggregate target is our learning benchmark, not an official pass or a prediction of your licensing result.

  1. Read the official manual before starting.
  2. Use Practice Mode to learn the reasons behind the rules.
  3. Submit to see your percentage, correct count and target status.
  4. Review incorrect or unanswered questions and revisit their sources.
  5. Retake in timed mode when you are ready.

Retakes use the same questions. The latest attempt for this test version is saved in your browser. Starting a new attempt replaces only this test’s saved attempt; other states and GED progress remain separate.

Rules checked against the current agency-linked handbook and official guidance. Questions and explanations are original PrepTestLab material; foundational road-rule questions are shared across state banks where applicable. This source review is not an independent driving-instructor review. A review date is the date of our check, not a claim that the agency issued a new manual that day. Agency-hosted manuals may carry an earlier edition date.

Use the agency for current eligibility, documents, fees, accommodations and appointments. Read the complete manual and any later official updates. If a question seems unclear, see our feedback arrangements.
